In cosmetic rhinoplasty, the nasal tip is one of the most contributory factors to the aesthetic appearance of the nose. As a matter of fact, it is the most exposed part of the nose, and any deviations from the aesthetic norms as described in this chapter lead to common patient complaints and requests for cosmetic correction. This chapter discusses the anatomic structures that contribute to the aesthetics of the nasal tip as well as various surgical maneuvers that enable aesthetic and functional improvements to the tip. It provides the reader with an overview of the most commonly used techniques and highlights their importance in relation to the adjacent anatomic structures, like the nasal dorsum, the columella, and the alar width. Finally, advantages and disadvantages of various grafting and suturing techniques are discussed in order to provide the reader with a more contextual understanding of the techniques chosen.
