The therapeutic application of botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) has revolutionized the approach to managing glabellar frown lines, a common cosmetic concern. This chapter delves into the neuromodulation mechanisms of BoNT-A, focusing on its effectiveness and safety in treating glabellar lines. The unique properties of BoNT-A allow for targeted action on the neuromuscular junction, leading to temporary relaxation of the corrugator and procerus muscles, thereby smoothing the overlying skin.
