Chemical Peels: Superficial
摘要
Skin resurfacing is an integral part of the cosmetic rejuvenation of the face. Skin resurfacing can range from peels and lasers to microdermabrasion, microneedling, and broadband light devices. Resurfacing procedures can also very from superficial to deep in nature depending on the depth of the pathology being addressed in the skin. Light peels remain an important part of the skin rejuvenation armamentarium. They can be utilized creatively to address a number of skin conditions such as acne, sun damage (photodamage), and a variety of dyschromias ranging from sunspots/freckles to melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Furthermore, with proper skin preparation and proper peel selection, a wide range of patients with darker complexions can also be safely treated. This chapter will review light chemical peels and how to perform them.
