Towards Sustainable Nanofabrication: A Roadmap for Europe and for an International Self-Sustaining Hub
摘要
This chapter outlines the strategy and implementation roadmap for sustainable nanofabrication developed by the EU-funded Horizon 2020 NanoFabNet research project (International Hub for Sustainable industrial-scale Nanofabrication, March 2020–August 2022, grant agreement No.886171). This strategy and implementation roadmap is a direct output of the understandings, advances and activities performed by the NanoFabNet project during its course. It has benefited from different types of sources, including the results of the two NanoFabNet Development Workshops which were organized and held by the NanoFabNet project in March 2020 and January 2021, a thorough and exhaustive reading of the relevant literature, and the discussion with high-level key stakeholders. It is composed of five sectoral roadmaps addressing the following topics, respectively: sustainability in nanofabrication; validation, harmonization and standardization; infrastructures, knowledge and skills; EU-funded projects collaboration; and international cooperation. Each of these sectoral roadmaps consists of a set of actions and recommendations to be implemented at different timescales and by different bodies within the next years to achieve sustainable nanofabrication.
