This chapter provides an introduction to reciprocal recommender systems. We first define what a recommender system is, and how reciprocal recommendation differs from user-item recommendation. We then examine some paradigms of recommender systems, which forms a basis for how this book is structured. Finally, reciprocal systems specifically are discussed, including applications and unique challenges.

摘要

This chapter provides an introduction to reciprocal recommender systems. We first define what a recommender system is, and how reciprocal recommendation differs from user-item recommendation. We then examine some paradigms of recommender systems, which forms a basis for how this book is structured. Finally, reciprocal systems specifically are discussed, including applications and unique challenges.
