Understanding Dosimetry in Photobiomodulation Therapy
摘要
A significant challenge for the widespread adoption of photobiomodulation therapy is the lack of uniform dosimetry and clinical outcomes in various studies. This chapter addresses key parameters necessary for understanding photobiomodulation protocols and their effects, which should be consistently reported in studies. Understanding these parameters, along with proper training and personalized treatment, is crucial for effective patient care. Different wavelengths and power outputs can target specific tissue chromophores, allowing varied biological responses. Introducing photonic fluence as a new variable to traditional dosimetry may enhance therapeutic predictability and research reproducibility.
