Introduction
摘要
This introduction provides a rationale for why a book on the topic of teacher burnout is necessary given its prevalence in our contemporary education system. It also explains why a complex systems approach is needed to investigate the multiple contributors, consequences and contexts involved. Perhaps most importantly, by suggesting coping strategies, the studies included in the book attempt to throw light on what can be done about the burnout phenomenon which is affecting so many of our teachers, their students, and other stakeholders. The introduction includes a summary of each of the chapters included in the book as well as information about the chapter authors.
