The wilderness hut to which we had relocated stands in a sheltered valley only 3.5 kilometres away from where we had been, below Ritničohkka and Háldi, on the shore of the desolate Lake Háldijávri. While the distance between the Ritničohkka cabin and the Háldijávri hut seems negligible, relocating had felt like a transition between two worlds, from the weird and otherworldly reality of Ritničohkka to the more familiar Háldijávri.
