Analysis and Comparison of Various Steganography Methods for Secure 6G Communication

This study conducts a comprehensive analysis and review of various steganography approaches towards better security communication in respect of 6G networks. Since steganography methods are very useful for hiding the required information in another stream of data for the purpose of privacy in communication systems, they take their place. The evaluation incorporates different steganography algorithms based on performance criteria such as robustness, capacity, perceptual invisibility and computational complexity. In the context of the proposed work this section examines the areas of steganography and the methods of steganography include LSB for audio, image, video data, transform domain for images and echo hiding for audio. The first objective is to conduct an exhaustive study of the advantageous and the disadvantaged of these techniques as well as their effectiveness in practice. Performing experiments on each method implemented in Python, we assess systematically the quality of the data and their detectability. It can be observed that LSB embedding we have used provides high embedding capacity and on the other hand transform domain techniques are known to provide better invisibility. Furthermore, the ever-present echo hiding method is shown to have feasibility in audio steganography application especially for cases harder to be detected compared to some value-added audio steganography techniques. Consequently, this research provides practitioners with valuable insights on proper steganography technique choice for an appropriate application to improve data protection and security. The results help identify the advantages and disadvantages of each technique and contribute to decision making about the use of secure communication protocols in future 6G networks.
