Towards Improved Ankle Rehabilitation: A Proposal for Patient-Interactive Control of SMA-Actuated Soft Exoskeletons

This proposal aims to develop novel soft robotics technologies, focused on addressing mobility pathologies affecting the ankle. Through the development of innovative tools and techniques, this project is intended to significantly enhance patients’ quality of life. By providing low-cost and user-friendly solutions, the project also seeks to improve the accessibility of healthcare services, ensuring that more patients are able to receive the treatment they need and, ultimately, enhancing the efficiency of the healthcare system as a whole.
