Comparison of Mechanical Properties of Samples Taken from Polymer Plates Produced with Joining Method and Standard Specimen

Large-sized products that are beyond the capacity of the 3D printing machine can be sliced and produced into small interlocking pieces. This study aims to make a plate in interlocking pieces. The small pieces were glued together to form a joint, producing end-use plate sheets. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) material in granule form was used in the 3D printing process. Tensile strengths were investigated by taking cross-sections of the produced plate with reference sample dimensions using a CNC laser machine. These values were compared with the tensile strengths of samples printed on the same 3D printing bench and joined interlocking. Testing procedures were carried out on 5 samples each and the results were interpreted.
