In the era of digitalization of society, the development of advanced technologies for the detection and analysis of huge amounts of data, the country's integration into the global information space, increased attention to information security issues is expected. Information is increasingly becoming an important strategic and economic resource, and therefore its possession allows winning the competition. In this regard, the role of competitive intelligence as a basis for information and analytical support of business structures and a tool for information security is strengthened. The purpose of the research is to study the methods and tools of competitive intelligence as the main means of information provision of the enterprise for its information security. Systematic, logical and comparative analysis and modeling were used to achieve the goal. Based on the use of these methods, the possibilities and risks of using digital technologies for cyber security were analyzed, and a model of competitive intelligence was formed for the business structure. The result of the study is a generalization of the types of information security threats and the selection of appropriate open-source intelligence (OSINT) methods and tools for a certain type of threat. The considered problems and their solution are aimed at improving the information security system based on competitive intelligence.
