Computational Modelling of Heat Transport in Kinked Nanowires
摘要
Modelling and investigating thermal transport in nanosystems in detail can be computationally intensive. In this work, the Lattice Boltzmann Method is used to simulate heat transport in kinked nanowires: nanowire systems with a bend. The Lattice Boltzmann Method serves as a computationally inexpensive method to examine kinked nanowires and compare them with the results of simulation methods used in a previous work. The method provides an effective way to study individual factors such as system geometry, surface parameters and transport lengths and may be used as a tool for understanding transport effects.
