Quality Criteria for Design Science Research
摘要
In this chapter, we address the quality criteria for design science research. Quality criteria for research are well addressed when dealing with ‘traditional’ science, or N-science. These quality criteria are essential because they ensure that the research findings are credible, accurate, and generalizable. Hevner et al. (2024) call this research transparency, as ‘research transparency refers to the principles and practices of being open about how a research study is conducted, with a full presentation of its assumptions, scope, processes, data, results, analyses, and implications’ (p. 1). There are two types of quality criteria, validity and reliability. We will look at several forms of validity and reliability.
