The signals of the VHcc, VZcc, and VWcq analyses are extracted using separate binned maximum likelihood fits (cf. Sect.  4.7.2 ). The variable that is used in each fit is one that has different distributions in the signal and in the background. For the VHcc and VZcc analyses, a multivariate analysis technique is implemented by training BDTs (cf. Sect. 4.4) to separate the respective signals from the backgrounds. The output of the BDT is used as the fit variable in the SRs. On the other hand, the invariant mass of the dijet system ( \(m_{jj}\) ) is used as the fit variable in the VWcq analysis.

摘要
