Strategic Leadership for Developing Government Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Framework for GCC Countries
摘要
By all accounts, literature shows that it is important to include AI in government media development. As this research paper holds it applies more to security media in GCC countries. AI is a revolutionary power, adding a lot of value to information gathering, processing, and dissemination within the security media given the pace at which technology has advanced. Other concerns to government media institutions are low viewership, poor public interest, and relevance of content. The paper is purposed to develop a comprehensive strategic vision towards more effectively incorporating AI into government media to increase content quality, reach, and transparency. Review of literature suggests that government media in the Gulf lack innovation and do not interact with publics much, relying less on conventional forms of media because they do not use them as tools in practice. AI could add value through the analysis of security data and prediction of crises, thus biding the security media to be more effective as well as more credible through being in as real time as possible. However, there should be strictest control in using AI to guarantee transparency and data privacy and also for periodic training of media workers. This paper therefore proses the improvement of the security communication approaches using AI in the form of the continuous and regular production of diverse content, an improvement in transparency, and personnel training. Implementation must be carried out methodically. Some of the measures for implementation are through performance evaluation and strategic partnerships, which, through the effectiveness of security media, create trustful relations with the public, hence enhancing the role of government media within the GCC countries.
