In an age where all sectors of a nation focus on sustainable developmental goals (SDGs), it is essential to examine the current trends in energy consumption in Bahrain, which primarily depends on non-renewable resources like fossil fuels for energy generation. This study primarily examines the main energy consumption sector in Bahrain, specifically residential buildings. A quantitative analysis is performed on Bahraini households to investigate modern shifts in energy consumption. Furthermore, it analyses consumers’ perceptions concerning the implementation of solar panels and other renewable resources within their residences. The viability of wind farms in Bahrain is examined as part of the initiative to promote renewable resources nationwide. The paper that follows analyses potential strategies for attaining a sustainable future. The study highlights the importance of public awareness, policy reforms, and investment in green technologies as critical components of Bahrain's transition to sustainable development goals.
