The Role of Financial Technology and Its Impact in Achieving Financial Sustainability: Evidence from Commercial Banks in the Emerging Markets
摘要
This study explores the influence of financial technology (FinTech) adoption on the financial sustainability of grassroots banking operations, with a particular emphasis on knowledge-driven outcomes. A sample of 300 employees from six commercial banks in Jordan was surveyed using structured questionnaires, and data were analysed using both statistical techniques (SPSS) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) through SMART PLS software. The analysis reveals a significant positive relationship between FinTech utilisation and financial sustainability, with findings showing that for every one-step increase in the technology adoption variable, there is a corresponding 0.35-point increase in the financial sustainability variable. These results highlight the critical role FinTech plays in enhancing financial sustainability, particularly within knowledge-based operational frameworks. As a recommendation, investing in continuous employee training on FinTech tools will enhance staff proficiency, maximising the benefits of technology integration and improving financial sustainability. This approach fosters both operational efficiency and long-term growth.
