Development and Implementation of an Automatic Control System for Automated Production Line Training System Using PLC and SCADA

The authentic industrial production process is replicated using the automated training system of the production line. Concerning the necessity for training and the rehabilitation and enhancement of the automatic industrial production line training system (DL-MS6000) within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad, Iraq. A CYMON CPU CM1-CP4A PLC is utilized to control the system independently, without any network or communication devices connecting the stations. Numerous steps were undertaken in both hardware and software to establish the automated production line training system. A SCADA/HMI system was established with CIMON software, facilitating the creation of HMI interfaces and trends that enabled the operator to oversee and manage the manufacturing line. The automated production line training system is suitable for use in college and university training rooms due to its complete accessibility, especially the control cabinet, which allows students to observe the internal wiring comprehensively, making the system easily comprehensible for learners. It can operate under a singular station or a whole system.
