This article investigates the role of corporate governance principles on companies’ performance. The purpose of this article is to identify the best practices for applying corporate governance principles in relation to the performance of companies in Tripoli, Lebanon. The methodology style applied is the descriptive method, and the quantitative style was examined. A sample size of 100 respondents is distributed to 20 companies. The SPSS version 26 was interpreted for analyzing the collected data from the sample size. The results of this article define that transparency, accountability, participation, efficiency, and effectiveness have a direct role in companies’ performance. It is recommended to meet strategies with goals and apply human resources techniques to regulate risk management internal control.
