Disasters have consistently challenged human society, continuously bringing new threats that disrupt our way of life. As such, it is essential to develop strategies to reduce these risks and provide more effective solutions for disaster response. In recent years, disasters have caused extensive damage to power grid infrastructure, leading to disruptions in national electricity power supply networks. In a world increasingly dependent on smart technologies like Smart Grids, any damage to these networks can have serious consequences for a country’s critical infrastructure. Most research in this area focuses on restoring services after a disaster occurs. While this is important, there is a growing need for research that anticipates the impact of disasters on electricity power networks. This paper introduces a model to assess how regional disasters in other parts of the Western Balkans might affect the traffic in Kosovo's Electricity Power Supply network. The model also considers the possibility of one disaster triggering others, potentially causing further failures in the power supply network.
