Developing social and emotional learning (SEL) skills is becoming more and more imperative. The COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, helped us reconsider what needs to be taught to better prepare youth for the world of work. In this chapter, the countries in the Global North, namely Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania, Türkiye, and the United States of America (USA), will discuss SEL interventions designed in response to the changing needs of education and the workplace and provide intervention design recommendations that reflect social, cultural and political contexts of the countries in the Global North, such as collectivism/individualism, gender equality, income gaps, size of formal and informal economies, general stability/violence, cultural values, and national political structures.

摘要
