It has a pivotal role in numerous sectors, allowing organizations and administrators for decision making without being physically present. The traditional remote monitoring methods depend considerably on manual observations using simple sensor. With the use of basic wired communication methods, the collected data was transmitted from remote locations to the central control station. These methods were laborious, susceptible to human error, and possessed insufficient real-time capabilities. The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based techniques into remote monitoring has significantly transformed the ways in which the surveillance was conventionally performed. This chapter examines the profound impact of the technology on the domain of remote monitoring, exploring the advance methods that have enhanced the real-time effectiveness of the system in varied domains.
