Innovation in Radiotherapy: FLASH Therapy
摘要
FLASH radiotherapy (RT) is a new form of RT delivering the dose in milliseconds instead of minutes for conventional RT. This FLASH RT appears much less toxic on normal tissues while the effect on tumors is maintained intact or even improved for hypoxic tumors, as compared to conventional RT. This overview is summarizing the state of the art of FLASH RT and emphasizes the most important features of FLASH that could be exploited for clinical translation.
