Maxillofacial reconstruction has undergone significant advancements, particularly in three-dimensional (3D) bony reconstruction techniques, transforming surgical approaches and outcomes. This chapter delves into the innovations in maxillofacial reconstruction, focusing on their application in head and neck cancer surgeries. Key areas of discussion include the improvement of reconstructive quality through predictive techniques and precise methods, the pivotal role of comprehensive assessment of surgical defects. The chapter also highlights the importance of achieving high-quality reconstruction to enhance patients’ physical and psychosocial well-being. Advanced methods such as pre-bent plates, virtual planning, and in-house 3D planning are examined for their advantages and challenges. Through these innovative techniques, the chapter aims to elucidate the multifaceted goals of reconstruction, emphasising the holistic improvement of patients’ quality of life.
