Cementitious materials such as concrete (reinforced and pretensioned) and grout are used as materials in many major offshore structures. Grout is initially mostly used as a joining material between steel elements and as a filling material in foundations, but also as a repair material later in life for both steel and concrete structures. This chapter shows the development of concrete structures with time, the composition of concrete and grout and relevant standards.
