The Physics of Dispersed Two-Phase Flows
摘要
What is a dispersed two-phase flow and what are its main characteristics? To provide answers to these questions, this chapter presents a selection of examples taken from a wide range of natural and industrial applications. Each example sheds light on some of the key challenges faced in this complex multidisciplinary field and on the range of questions that have to be addressed. They help us to bring out the nature and main characteristics of our topic and to decide which modeling road we wish to follow to set our venture into motion.
