Music has always been an integral part of entertainment, profoundly influencing our emotions and lifestyles. With the rise of social media platforms and the active participation of teenagers, particularly in dance trends on TikTok, the impact of music on lifestyle choices has become more pronounced. This study explores the sentiment over the hit song science, lyrical sentiment and use of profanity in hit songs. We analyzed Billboard Year-End Top 100 songs from 1994 to 2023 extracted from Spotify API by using lyrical sentiment analysis and profanity usage. The results indicate changes of sentiment and profanity over time.
