Using Animation Technologies to Improve the Interrelation Between Bird’s Conservation and Nature Tourism
摘要
The bio-based economy includes a wide variety of activities, and ecotourism or nature tourism is a particularly important productive sector for countries with a huge biodiversity and ecosystem types like Colombia. However, the anthropic intervention in natural environments is a criticism of sustainability and some possible negative impacts on species conservation due to nature tourism. In this view, this chapter presents the basis of a project about the development of an animation model that addresses the relationship between bird conservation and nature tourism in the municipality of “Los Santos” located in the Santander region in the northeast of Colombia. The project utilizes 4.0 technology and animations that represent the bird species of the territory, with relevant information about the specimens, ecosystem, narratives, good observation practices, and symbolic significance for the community. The aim is to raise awareness and generate a sense of ownership value among the local population and birdwatchers.
