Bioeconomy: Agro and Food Security
摘要
Food security is an urgent global challenge, intensified by population growth, climate change, and resource limitations. Circular bioeconomy, with its focus on sustainability and efficiency, offers a novel paradigm to address these challenges. By emphasizing sustainable practices, waste reduction, and the integration of biological processes, circular bioeconomy emerges as a transformative framework to ensure a resilient and secure food future. This manuscript aims to describe the challenges facing food security and provide a brief overview of the relationship between the bioeconomy and the agricultural sector, with a focus on the bioeconomy status in Latin America and the Caribbean.
