Synthesis and Fabrication of Fe3O4-MWCNT Nanocomposite-Based Electrochemical Biosensor for Sarcosine Detection
摘要
In this work, a nanocomposite mixture of magnetite (Fe3O4) and carboxylic acid functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (COOH-MWCNT) is prepared for synthesis by a simple and efficient sonochemical method. The characterization of the sample is done by performing FTIR, Powder XRD, SEM, Raman Spectroscopy, Cyclic Voltammetry and VSM. The nanocomposite is later deposited on top of indium tin oxide electrode and immobilized by enzyme sarcosine oxidase, and electrochemical measurements are carried out for sensitive detection of the target analyte Sarcosine, a Prostate Cancer biomarker. The nanocomposite modified biosensor shows a low limit of detection 1.7 nM and high sensitivity of 1.935 × 106 µA mM−1 in the dynamic range 17.90–123.846 µM.
