Migration in Latin America and the Caribbean is characterized by diverse and complex dynamics shaped by economic, political, environmental, and social factors. This study examines key trends and challenges in the region, focusing on irregular migration, forced displacement, remittances, and the role of environmental disasters in shaping migratory flows. It highlights the critical intersections between migration policies, economic drivers, and humanitarian concerns. Special attention is given to irregular migration routes such as the Darien, the increasing impact of climate-induced displacement, and the pivotal role of remittances in supporting economies of origin. The findings underscore the urgent need for comprehensive regional strategies that balance migration management with humanitarian assistance and climate resilience, ensuring sustainable mobility pathways for vulnerable populations.
