This paper investigates the efficacy of hybrid learning and the flipped classroom approach at the Arab Open University (AOU), Faculty of Language Studies. Through a comprehensive research methodology involving data collection, surveys, and analysis, the study aimed to assess the outcomes of hybrid learning and identify areas for improvement. The research question focused on the extent to which online teaching and student learning effectively achieve learning outcomes at the AOU. Findings reveal a preference for traditional face-to-face classes among students, although hybrid learning demonstrates promise, particularly when blended with active learning strategies. Challenges include passive student engagement and limited interaction in online environments. Practical strategies for enhancing online pedagogy are discussed, emphasizing the importance of clear communication, interactive activities, multimedia integration, and technological tools. The study underscores the need for continuous refinement of online teaching methods to optimize student engagement and learning outcomes in hybrid learning environments.
