Dermatological Indications: Alopecia Areata
摘要
Alopecia areata is an immune mediated form of non-scarring hair loss. JAK/STAT pathway is the mediator of main cytokines involved in alopecia areata pathogenesis. JAK inhibitors represent a new and promising therapeutic option in patients diagnosed with alopecia areata. This chapter aims to review the existing preclinical and clinical evidence regarding use of systemic and topical JAK inhibitors in alopecia areata.
