Coconut is an essential commodity and widely available in Indonesia, a tropical country with optimal growing conditions due to its abundant sunshine and rainfall. However, coconut production has been declining in recent years, largely because most plantations are managed by smallholders who face numerous challenges, including pest infestations. To overcome these issues, while simultaneously increasing the productivity and market value of coconut products, organic farming presents a viable solution.
