Multicriteria GIS Spatial Analysis for Multi-hazard Assessment of Infrastructures in Case of Natural Events
摘要
Earthquakes, landslides, and floods are among the natural phenomena that have been impacting the entire world in recent years, particularly Italy. This led to a significant increase in global emergencies. In this context, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can play a pivotal role. Additionally, multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) techniques can effectively support addressing issues related to the multi-hazard (dynamical) risk assessment of critical infrastructures. In this study, GIS and MCE were integrated to evaluate and map multi-hazards across the entire Italian territory for key critical infrastructure networks, including transports, gas, and electric power. Examples of the results obtained are presented through a series of thematic maps created within the GIS environment.
