With the aim of exploring the impact of art competitions on the social skills of art majors at Wuhan University of Science and Technology, this article conducted a survey of 280 questionnaires and conducted differential analysis and multiple linear regression analysis on the data obtained. The results indicate that there are gender differences in the influence of college students on art competitions held by schools. However, the research findings indicate that all college students are generally satisfied with art competitions and recognize the role of art competitions in improving their social practice performance. We can continuously improve the impact of art competitions on the artistic characteristics and comprehensive quality of science and engineering universities through internal and external joint driving, establishing a scientific evaluation system, paying attention to student differences, implementing classroom teaching, and creating unique brands.
