Weather and climate have profound influence on agriculture in a region. There are some important differences between the two terms. Weather describes the state of the lower atmosphere of a place with respect to temperature, annual precipitation, wind direction, wind speed, humidity, cloudiness and pressure etc., over a short period of time. The short term variations over minutes to days are indicated as weather of a location. It says whether the atmosphere is cold or hot, rainy or dry, sunny or cloudy, still or cyclonic, and, so on, usually for a period of 24 h. The weather may vary from place to place and from time to time, due to difference in temperature, cloudiness, humidity, rain, and, other atmospheric events. It may be sunny at one locality, but, rainy in another. Similarly, the weather of a place in winter morning may be foggy and sunny after a few hours as the fog disappears. Variation in weather is driven by Sun as it heats up air in the lower atmosphere at varying degrees. Meteorology is the study of weather meteorologists predict/forecast the weather of a station based on the observations recorded I the station or date collected from satellites. Weather prediction is done by analyzing the meteorological data from satellites and weather stations, which are very important, as weather influences many human activities. Important activities influenced by weather are, agriculture, sailing, fishing, AI flight, fire fight, trading, and, military operations.
