The chapter analyzes the policies, regulations, and programs for gender equality in science and higher education implemented in Chile since 2000. Its objective is to offer an overview of the changes in this field promoted by the national government (through its various ministries and agencies) and the country’s universities. The goals, target audience, and methods of implementation of the adopted guidelines will be identified. After summarizing the themes and aims of the chapter, the second section reviews the first initiatives to include the gender perspective in Chilean scientific and educational policies (between 2000 and 2020). The third covers the policies developed since 2021, a year that marks a paradigm shift in this area in the country, while the fourth addresses the actions promoted by universities since 2018. The final section presents the five concluding axes of the chapter.
