Personalized Online Learning Based on IoT (Systematic Mapping Study)
摘要
The Internet of Things (IoT) has a wide application in different domains. One domain in which IoT has considerable impact is in Education. In this context, IoT plays an important role in obtaining information about the environment and actors in which the educational processes take place. This paper is a systematic study of literature to identify how IoT is integrated in Education to enhance personalization of online learning processes. We have conducted a thorough mapping study on the different techniques and methods used to integrate IoT in Education with particular focus on Personalized Online Learning (POL). From our mapping study, we screened 3000 research and academic articles and identified approximately 60 papers have done some implementation as experimental and solution research regarding IoT. From preliminary results, we determined that the use of IoT in Education to implement POL is in its infancy state. This study illustrates the possible gaps in implementing IoT in POL and suggests future work opportunities for researchers, educators, and practitioners.
