Until the last two decades, the business sectors have been facing a lot of competition and some growing challenges about sustainability. These concerns have motivated businesses to adopt more advanced technologies like the Artificial Intelligence (AI) to restructure their operations and reduce costs. Adopting AI in business processes for example offers significant potential for those businesses to increase their efficiency and support more sustainable practices. Nevertheless, those advantages can only be realized if businesses actively adopt the AI technologies when having an interface with their clients and suppliers. This research study explores how business professionals in developing economies perceive AI. It investigates how the aim to perceived sustainable orientation, resistance to change and the perception to adopt AI in their selling buying processes affect their intention to use AI systems for his purpose. By examining a survey data collected from several business professionals and analyzing them through SEM, critical factors for successfully implementing AI implementation were identified and prospects for future research. The findings show that perceived sustainable orientation affects the intention to use AI, and understanding AI's usefulness is crucial for adoption.
