Properties of Ternary Cements Containing Clinker, Blastfurnace Slag and Calcined Clay
摘要
For the further reduction of the clinker factor in cements the use of calcined clays together with other SCMs in ternary cements is absolutely necessary. Especially the combination with ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBFS) is promising in terms of both cement properties and concrete performance. In order to be able to use these cements in construction practice in future, a sound knowledge of their properties and hydration characteristics is required. In this research, for the first time, a large composition range of ternary cements containing calcined clay and GGBFS was systematically investigated by means of different methods with regard to possible synergistic effects. With the use of Design of experiments (DoE) and statistical evaluation, the properties of a wide range of cement compositions standardised and non-standardised in EN 197-1 and EN 197-5 could be derived.
