Soul
摘要
The “soul” concept I am concerned with here is primarily one of Black American folk philosophy in the 1960s, rather than from professional academic philosophy. But it belongs in a network of vocabularies and writings, in and out of my own ethnography and other personal experience. And the point of departure for my book Soulside: Inquiries into Ghetto Culture and Community (1969) is a quote from W.E.B. DuBois’ The Souls of Black Folk (1903).
