In the health sector, social robots can assist employees in multiple tasks and motivate patients during their recovery. Both social robots and games are utilized as a great source of knowledge and entertainment, therefore their integration can be beneficial for healthcare. The primary objective of this study is to review the use of social robots as game associates in the health sector. Thorough research was carried out in scientific databases. The selected studies were categorized according to target demographics, objectives, methods, techniques, robot details, and the details of games used in conjunction with the robots. The detailed analysis revealed that most used social robots were humanoid with game integration and that the target group generally consisted of children and elderly. It reveals the significance of social robots as facilitators, advisors, participants, or companions in game-related activities to motivate participants to increase different skills such as physiological and neurological skills.
