The research on “The ZoomBikes: Bicycle Rental Solution (BRS)” addresses a pressing need in today’s urban environments, responding to the growing demand for sustainable transportation options. The proposed Bicycle Rental Management System offers a versatile solution that transcends geographic boundaries, making it applicable across diverse urban settings. This study is significant as it introduces an efficient, user-friendly approach to managing bicycle rentals, actively supporting environmentally friendly transportation alternatives. Through a web application with intuitive interfaces, the system simplifies registration and enhances the user experience for bicycle selection, innovative locking/unlocking, and secure returns. Implemented and rigorously tested on the Thapar University Campus, this study demonstrates an innovative, comprehensive system with potential scalability to any city worldwide. By addressing the rising demand for bicycle rentals, this study aligns with the broader societal goal of promoting environmentally conscious transportation options.
