However, teaching with the goal of recognizing and addressing these issues may fall short if traditional pedagogies are utilized. Transformative learning is an educational theory that focuses on the transformation of perspective. Using this theoretical framework facilitates a shift in the frame of reference, allowing educators to more effectively teach socially conscious practice in the clinical learning environment.
