Integrating Sustainable Development and Business 4.0 Concepts to Actualize and Enrich English Language Teaching for Future Financiers
摘要
In today’s world, the concept of Sustainable Business 4.0 is becoming increasingly relevant. It is vital to investigate to what extent these concepts have already been integrated into the educational process, particularly in English language teaching for students of finance. The authors surveyed finance university students to find out their level of awareness of Business 4.0 concepts and their attitudes toward integrating this topic into foreign language teaching. Using semantic interpretation, the authors analyzed the students’ responses to find out the general mood and opinions while learning English at Financial University (Moscow). The research revealed that most students have a basic understanding of Business 4.0 concepts, but only a few understand their deep aspects and impact on business. Most respondents expressed interest in integrating these concepts into the learning process, considering them important for their future professional success. The findings showed a positive impact on students’ learning outcomes, language proficiency, comprehension of finance-related topics, and attitudes toward sustainability in finance. The authors demonstrate that incorporating the principles of Business 4.0 and sustainable development into English language education is essential for enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. This approach helps students understand their future roles in the country’s economic development and enables them to contribute effectively to Business 4.0. Integrating the concepts of Sustainable Business 4.0 into English language teaching for finance students plays a key role in preparing human resources capable of operating effectively in today’s economy.
