The research aims to analyze the possibilities of digital tools for developing visual media communication. Visual media communications are the most demanded among the existing communication tools in today’s educational space. Trust in this type of communication increases due to the communicative openness of the network and the effect of involvement in the global process. The authors developed an online course on the topic “Innovative methods of organizing the activities of a cultural institution.” The Qwiki multimedia encyclopedia, online resources for the preparation of intelligence maps, joint film screenings, presentations, videos, and presentations were used as digital tools. Throughout the training, students participated in virtual meetings on the Google Arts & Culture platform. According to the performance review methodology, three components of visual media communication were identified: media communication, interactive, and perceptual side. In the process of students’ digital interaction, the media-communicative side increased from 25 to 74%, the interactive side increased from 48 to 81%, and the perceptual side increased from 31 to 84%. Students began to share information more actively with their peers and stopped being afraid of expressing their opinions. These changes are largely determined by the capabilities of the digital educational environment, which acts as an intermediary in the process of visual media communication and can influence its effectiveness.

摘要
