In the context of digitization and global processes within the structure of international information and the influence of informational resources, the role of media in the Republic of Kazakhstan is becoming increasingly crucial. As Kazakhstan navigates new political landscapes and an evolving economy, alongside rapid digitization in government and business sectors, the media’s role becomes more strategic. The media needs to support responsible practices that are aligned with state policies and uphold the quality and reliability of Kazakhstani media. Ongoing discussions and debates within international practice and the experiences of other countries regarding existing media solutions shape future opportunities for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and shaping state policy in Central Asia. The media’s influence on Kazakhstan’s political, economic, and social systems is significant and cannot be overlooked. The research presented by the authors offers a systemic analysis of media development in the context of digitization, its impact on sustainable development across various regional sectors, and the implementation of state policies and strategies in Kazakhstan. It also examines the concept of institutionalization and the roles of Kazakhstani media in strategies and programs aimed at stable social development and sustainability, drawing on international experience. The global integration of information into Kazakhstan’s policies and strategies has highlighted the need to systematize scientific knowledge and practical experience related to this multifunctional social institution and object of state policy—mass media. The findings of this research contribute to the formation of a new scientific methodological approach to enhancing the role of the media in implementing Kazakhstan’s state policies, informed by the experiences of other countries.
