Enteritis and Venous Thromboembolism Related to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Therapy
摘要
This is a case with metastatic lung cancer, and a history of venous thrombosis on apixaban developed abdominal pain and constipation after 6 doses of pembrolizumab. CT scan indicated isolated segment of small bowel inflammation without mesenteric artery blockage. A diagnosis of ICI-induced enteritis was made despite atypical clinical presentation after excluding the thromboembolic event based on labs and imaging, that eventually responded to vedolizumab. Despite resuming pembrolizumab, she died due to cancer progression and its related complications.
